Kenneth Richard Lama

Kenneth Richard Lama, age 79, of Onsted, MI, passed away January 29, 2018, at Cambrian Senior Living, Tecumseh.  Mr. Lama was born August 30, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan the son of Marcel and Harriet (Titus) Lama.  On November 2, 1962 he married Judith Ellen Vanderberg in Detroit and she preceded him in death November 21, 2016.  Ken was a resident of the Irish Hills since 1975 coming from San Diego, CA.  Mr. Lama was a Vietnam veteran serving two tours of duty and a Marine Corp Gunnery Sergeant / Recruiter retiring from the United States Marine Corp, serving from 1955 - 1975.    He was a member of the Springville United Methodist Church.  Ken is survived by a son, Christopher Lama of Onsted;  brother, Charles Lama of Plymouth, MI; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  In addition to his wife, Judith, he was preceded in death by his parents; son, Keith Lama, brither, Steve Lama and a sister, Marcia Lama.  Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
