Kathleen "Kathy" Anton

Kathleen “Kathy” Anton, age 73, of Tecumseh, passed away October 10, 2017 after a very short illness.  Kathy was born on February 22, 1944 to Norbert and Eleanor Collins in Wakefield, RI.  She is survived by three siblings:  Eleanor, Michael, and Butch.  Kathy met the love of her life, Mr. George Anton, with whom she settled on their beautiful countryside home outside of Tecumseh, Michigan.  George and Kathy spent 47 wonderful years together on their farm where they raised three children:  Arthur, Michael, and Kristy.  Kathy loved nothing more than the outdoors where she gardened, photographed her children, her surroundings, and abundant wildlife, even earning a degree in Photography from Siena Heights College.  Later, she found she had quite a talent for shooting sporting clays and with George spent countless hours enjoying the sport.  The two enjoyed long walks together nearly every evening.  She gave thanks to God every day for her life.  Kathy loved her neighbors and community.  With a passion for advocating on behalf of landowners throughout Lenawee County, she was honored to serve one term as a trustee to the Adrian Township Board.  The Purse family appreciates the work Kathy did as a trustee of Adrian Township as she was truly an advocate of property owner rights and keeping us informed.  Kathy and George have 6 wonderful Grandchildren, Sarah, Justin, Bobby, Erica, Julian, and Matthew; and 5 Great Grandchildren.  A memorial service is planned for a later date.  Condolences to the family may be made online at www.pursefuneralhome.com.
