John Phillip White

John Phillip White, age 72, of Adrian, MI, passed away July 20, 2017, at home surrounded by his family. He was born November 20, 1944, in Ann Arbor, MI, the son of Walter George & Mae Amelia (Shackett) White. On February 7, 2000, he married Viola Lolley, she survives.  John graduated from Mooseheart High School in Illinois. He then served his country in the U.S. Navy. John was retired from Pilot Industries Metal Tube Division in Manchester, MI.  He is survived by his wife, Viola White, his children, Richard Foreman, Sandra (Carl) Barnett, Nadine (Shawn) Luce, Rachel (James) Harper, Arvel Dee (Mary) Lolley and Nancy (Tim) Shelden, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, his siblings, James White, Judith Braley, Edith Hagenel, Donna Buccini and Linda White and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Georgene Michelle Hadley White, his son, Richard Lolley, one grandson, John Pierce, two brothers, Walter White and Daniel White and one sister, Jeanette Funcion.  Funeral Services will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, July 22, 2017, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Pastor Eddie McClure officiating. Visitation will also be on Saturday from 2:00 PM until the time of service at the J.
