John "Johnny" Mott, age 52, of Brooklyn, MI, passed away unexpectedly, November 22, 2015, at home. He was born January 10, 1963, in Adrian, MI, the son of Harold R. & Evelyn (Walker) Mott. John was a graduate of Adrian High School. He loved all sports and was actively involved in softball and golf most of his life. John was an avid U of M fan including ushering games for many years. John is survived by his wife, Wendy Mott, his daughter, Jill Mott of Adrian, his stepchildren, Lori Haley of Onsted, Marsha Nieto of Manitou Beach, Dereka Walper of Addison and Jason Walper of Brooklyn, thirteen grandchildren, two sisters, Alyce Mott of New York, NY and Kay Mott (Rick) Darrow of Brooklyn, MI, one brother, Jeffery (Kathy) Mott of Newport News, VA, two nephews and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold & Evelyn Mott. Funeral Services will be held 1:30 PM, Monday, November 30, 2015, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI, with Pastor Tisha Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Monday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at J.
