James Dalton Tucker

In loving memory of:

James Dalton Tucker,  age 88, of Adrian, MI, entered into the caring arms of his Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, on February 3, 2016. Born in Stigler Oklahoma, and a Navy veteran, he is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Hallie Faye (Maxwell) Tucker.  J.D. "worked heartily, as for the Lord" at Brazeway for 50 years, and was a member of Bethany Assembly of God church.  He is survived by three sons, Lanny (Betty), Tim, and Chris (Melissa) Tucker; brother, Chesterfield (Mary Lou); sisters, Pauline Butler and Jettra Lee (David) Gardner; many grand/great grandchildren; and other extended family.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John Riley and Edna Tucker; sisters, Ruby Pearson, Ila Jones, Irene Godfrey and Inez Tucker; brothers, Choc, Noble, and Glen Tucker; and grandaughter, Autumn Tucker.  Friends may visit Saturday, February 6, from 1:00 -2:30 pm with a brief family memorial at 2:30 pm at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian  Hwy. (M-52), Adrian, MI. The family also expresses their appreciation to the entire staff of Dr. Gietzen, Dr. Mouli and Great Lakes Caring for their home care and hospice services, especially Stephanie and her compassionate team.   In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Lenawee Department On Aging - Home Delivered Meals (Meals on Wheels).
