George H. Brady, of Tecumseh, passed away at the Hospice of Lenawee Hospice House in Adrian on September 25, 2016. He was born to Alfred and Opal (Beevers) Holmes on February 28, 1928 in Tecumseh. He was later adopted by James Brady. He married Marie Lane on December 28, 1967 and she survives. George graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1946 and worked at Tecumseh Products for 47 years. Even though he was born with only one hand, few people even noticed, as he could do anything he set his mind to. He loved to mow his lawn and was always working on something. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Evelyn Harvey (Bill Hoffman) and three grandchildren, Tina (Shawn) Adams, Michael (Unika) Harvey and Amy (Mark) Ross and seven great- grandchildren. He is also survived by his step-children Cheri (Mark) Hinkleman and Gary (Louise) Lane. His step-grandchildren are Ryan (April) Hinkleman and Troy (Abby) Hinkleman to which he was very close. There are also three great step-grandchildren, Lily, Gwenyth and Declan Hinkleman. A sister, Helen Burchell of Tucson, Arizona also survives, as do nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Harold, a sister, Ruth and a son, Russell (Rusty) and a step-son, Doug Lane. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh, with Rev. Gene Hurley officiating. Final resting place will be at Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Tuesday, September 27, 2016 and again from 10 AM until time of service Wednesday at J.
