Elsie M. Schultz, age 85, of Tecumseh, passed away, August 24, 2015, surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Hospice of Lenawee. Elsie was born June 19, 1930 in Painesdale, Michigan the daughter of George and Catherine (Baird) Knight. On November 19, 1955 she married Kenneth Schultz in Adrian. They resided in Tecumseh, MI for 25 years. Elsie later moved to Hudson, MI where she had many friends. Elsie is survived by her daughters, Brenda (David) Myers of Tecumseh, Debra (Philip) Oberlin of Highland , Michigan; grandchildren, Paul Cain, Angie, Lee (Tiffany), Bryce and Cody Wilson; great grandchildren, Carley Wilson, Ella Thompson, Layne and Beckett Wilson; sister, Gale Solmonson. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Tammy in 1974; brother, Tom Knight and sister, Dena McClain. Funeral services will be 1:00 P. M. Friday, August 28, 2015 at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Rev. Larry Betz officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Tecumseh. Visitation will also be on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 11:00 A. M. to 1:00 P. M., two hours preceding the service. The family has requested donations to Hospice of Lenawee.
