Elsie Louise Jeffrey

Elsie Louise Jeffrey, age 84, of Britton, MI, passed away, April 27, 2017, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. She was born November 20, 1932, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of John & Mary (Jones) Goings. On September 19, 1950 she married Wayne Harold Jeffrey in Redford, MI, he preceded her in death on April 8, 2011.  Elsie enjoyed cooking, collecting recipe books, gardening, flowers, scrap booking and singing in the choir.  She is survived by his children, Janice (Fletcher) Herrin, Joyce (John) Lopez, Joel (Betsy) Jeffrey, Jerry (Janice) Jeffrey and Julie (Scott) Sellers, 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter and her siblings, John Frank Goings, Kenneth Forshee, Carol Forshee and Marie Seward.  She was preceded in death by her son and daughter-in -law, Jamie and Bonnie Jeffrey, a granddaughter Jolene and two brothers, Clifford Goings and Thomas Goings.  Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian with Pastor Phil Devaney officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeway Cemetery. Visitation will be on May 2, 2017, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI. www.PurseFuneralHome.com
