Eloise L. Ford, age 78, of Brooklyn, formerly of Tecumseh, passed away March 26, 2017 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home, Jackson, MI. She was born May 29, 1938 in Albion, MI, the daughter of Grant and Irene (Rocco) Holmes. On October 12, 1957, she married Tom Ford. He preceded her in death on January 25, 2011. Eloise was self-employed with her own In-Home Daycare business, serving the Tecumseh area for over 40 years. Eloise cherished spending private time reading the Bible. She especially cherished spending time with her family and friends at their Vineyard Lake home. Eloise is survived by 4 sons, Hugh Thomas Ford, Jr. and Terry G. (Barb) Ford both of Tecumseh, Timothy H. (Robin) Ford of Hebron, CT, and Troy E. (Connie) Ford of Winter Haven, FL; one daughter, Tammy (Bob) Hoffman of Clinton; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister; Elaine Heath of Marshall; brother Dale Holmes of Union City; and sister in law, Mattye Jo Duncan of Paducah, KY. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Rev. Bart Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday March 29, 2017 and one hour prior to funeral services at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions my be made to Allegiance Hospice or Great Lakes Hospice, both of Jackson.
