Elizabeth Marie (Procknow) Wolf

Elizabeth Marie Wolf passed away March 9, 2017.  She turned 93 on March 4th. Elizabeth was born in Tecumseh Township, Michigan in 1924 to Albert and Minnie (Minster) Procknow.  She married Robert Dennis Wolf August 24, 1947, in Blissfield, MI.  Together they had five children all surviving:  Ellen (Charles) Cartwright, Betsy Yagiela, Robin (Len) Yoder, Todd Wolf (Kim Goldmann), and Amy (Federico) Galliani. Eight adoring grandchildren also survive:  Andrew Yagiela, Emily (Yagiela) Collins, Sarah (Yoder) Ward, Rachel Yoder, Paul Wolf, Laura (Wolf) Steinle, Angela (Galliani) Bueno and Jacqulyn (Galliani) Arroyo.  Five great-children include Owen and Camden Yagiela, Carter Ward, Erica Steinle, and Scarlett Bueno. Elizabeth was a life-long resident of Lenawee County Michigan.  She graduated from Blissfield High School, County Normal and Siena Heights College.  She taught school for 42 years and retired from the Blissfield Community Schools.  Her greatest legacy is her unconditional love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.   She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Britton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, siblings Wilma (Procknow) Silberhorn, Carl, and infant twins, Louis and Louise, and her parents. Funeral services will be at J. Gilbert Purse Purse Funeral Home (Tecumseh) at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2017 with Pastor Dave McCarty officiating.  Interment will follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh. Visitation will be at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home (Tecumseh) 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday and from Noon – 1:00 p.m. on Monday. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate a contribution to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Britton, or Hospice of Lenawee (Adrian).
