Eileen Joyce Lane, age 83, of Tecumseh, went into the arms of our Heavenly Father on Monday, April 20, 2015 at her daughter's home in Lakeland, Florida. She was born May 13, 1931 in Adrian to Otto and Emma (Warren) Stange on the Stange family farm on Etter Road in Adrian. She graduated from Adrian High School with the Class of 1949. Eileen was a selfless, strong, caring devoted Lutheran who enjoyed life and had a great sense of humor. She valued time spent with family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards and family get togethers. She was always there with a helping hand for anyone that needed it. Eileen loved cheering for the Detroit Tigers and trying her luck in Windsor, Ontario Canada. She loved the out of doors, riding motorcycles, jet skis, bikes, and treasured her time with her only grandson, Christopher. Eileen is survived by her children, Rick Lane of Adrian and Sherry Loveridge and her husband, Scott of Lakeland, Florida; her grandson, Christopher and friend, Pat. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Warren and Eugene Stange; sisters, Margaret Duncan and Dorothy Stevens and former husband, Claude. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 25th at 12noon. at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Homem Adrian with Pastor Gordon Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at Palmyra Cemetery and a potluck dinner back at Purse. Visitation will be before the service from 10am – 12pm (noon).
