Douglas "Doug" Hamilton

Douglas (Doug) Hamilton, passed away surround by his family on Thursday, February 1, 2018 in Saline, MI at the age of 74.  Doug is survived by his daughters, Melissa (Jeff) Revill of Manchester and Lisa (Greg) Brown of Chelsea. Grandchildren; Cori, Michael, Tyler Ahrens of Manchester, Samantha and Madison Brown of Chicago, step-grandchildren Jessica of Chicago, Chris and Nick Revill of Ann Arbor.  Great granddaughter; Peyton Davis of Manchester. Brothers; Dennis Hamilton of Manchester, Steve (Sharon) Hamilton of Canton, Sister In-law Sandy (Hamilton) Tilly of Manchester. Sister In-laws; Jill (Gary) Seitz and Lori (Larry) Stautz and many nieces and nephews.  Doug is preceded in death by his beloved wife Cheryl, brother Gary Hamilton, parents Bob and Phyllis Hamilton, and in-laws Web and Mable Werner.   Doug was born on 11/06/1943 in Saline, MI to Robert and Phyllis (Palmer) Hamilton. He graduated from Boulder, CO but spent most of his school years in Manchester, MI. Doug married Cheryl (Werner) on June 12, 1965. He worked at Chrysler Proving Grounds in Chelsea for over 30 years.   Doug will be remembered as a generous, kind-hearted, hardworking, selfless man who loved and cherished his family more than anything else. We find comfort knowing he is once again reunited with the love of his life, Cheryl.  There will be a celebration of life for Doug on Saturday, February 10th at 11:00 am at the Freedom Township Hall in Manchester. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made to Resident of Arbor Hospice of Saline at 440 W. Russell St. Ste 100. Saline, MI 48176, Envelopes will be available at the celebration of his life.
