Dorothy A. (King) Mitchell

Dorothy A. Mitchell, age 82, of Saline, passed away May 28, 2017 at the home of her daughter in Chatsworth, Georgia.  Dorothy was born January 22, 1935 in Tecumseh the daughter of Michael and Elsie (Long) King. On May 18, 1957 she married Thomas Mitchell Sr. in Azalia. MI and he preceded her in death February 27, 2010.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother committed to her family. She attended the Tecumseh Nazarene Church for many years. Dorothy is survived by her children, Thomas (Chris)  Mitchell, Jr., Julie (Jim) Squires and Diane (Bill) Blackburn; grandchildren, Doug, Zach, Jessica (Michael), Jeremy, Jenna, Ashley (Adam), Michael and Emily (Nathan); great grandchildren; Haley, Madelyn, Christopher, Kylie, Adelaide and Audrey and sister, Joyce Duncan. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Michael, Jr. and  Richard. Funeral services will be 12:00 P. M. (noon) Friday, June 2, 2017 at Ridgeway Nazarene Church, Ridgeway with Rev. Kyle Boils officiating.  Burial will follow in Ridgeway  Cemetery, Ridgeway.  Visitation will be 4:00 - 8:00 P. M. Thursday, June 1, 2017 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh.
