Dorothea M. (Castelein) Warren

Dorothea M. Warren, age 91, of Gobles, MI, formerly of Clearwater, FL  and Tecumseh passed away May 11, 2017.  Dorothea was born July 3, 1925 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Melvin and Evah (Aldridge) Castelein.  On September 9, 1964 she married Harold Warren and he preceded her in death.  She was a bus driver for the Tecumseh Public Schools from 1966 - 1969 and upon moving to Florida she was a hostess for Red Lobster for 28 years. Dorothea was a member of the Tecumseh United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed playing bingo, her family and being outside. Dorothea is survived by her son, Melvin (Connie) Smalley of Gobles, MI; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 17 great great grandchildren; 2 great great great grandchildren; stepchildren, Hal Warren of Weston, Ohio and Midge Weatherwax of Largo, Florida; sister in law, Barbara Castelein of Orlando, Florida and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, Harold, she was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers. Funeral services will be 1:00 P. M. Saturday, May 20, 2017 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home Tecumseh, with Rev. Mark Miller officiating.  Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Tecumseh.  Visitation will be 12:00 P. M. (noon) to 1:00 P. M before the funeral service
