Cynthia "Cindy" Smith

Cynthia "Cindy" Smith, age 69, of Adrian, MI, passed away, April 27, 2017, at home with her family. She was born February 26, 1948, in Adrian, MI, the daughter of Harwood & Edith (Sneary) Covell. In 1967, she married James Samuel Smith, he preceded her in death in 2004. Cindy owned and operated her own mink farm for many years and was a member of Serenity House in Adrian, MI.  She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Smith, her son, James "JJ" Smith, her grandchildren, Travis (Angela Zimmerman) Powell, Josh Fogelsong, Shelby Bear (Fogelsong), Arianna Smith and Xavier Rodriguez and her sister, Gail (Ron) Hill.  In addition to her husband James Samuel Smith, she was preceded in death by her parents.  Funeral Services will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI. Visitation will also be on Tuesday from 2:00 PM until the time of service at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Adrian, MI.
