Cletus R. Fuhrmann, 88, of Tecumseh ran into the arms our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, in the amazing care of Hospice of Lenawee with his loving daughter by his side.   He was born on November 1, 1926, to Louis and Mary Fuhrmann in Carleton, MI.  Clete married June Regelin, in Maybee, MI in 1956, who proceed him in death in 2012.  While engaged, they built their house in Tecumseh.  After their honeymoon, the newlyweds moved into the new home and raised their two children, Kathy and Scott. Clete called this place home until the day of his passing.  He proudly served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army stationed in Tokyo, Japan from 1945-46.  He worked hard at Tecumseh Products for 37 years, retiring to enjoy his life in 1983.  Clete became known as the "Pie Man" when at age 80 he discovered he could make a delicious apple pie from scratch.  Pie making became his passion over the last 8 years winning him "Best of Show" and "First Place" ribbons at the Lenawee County Fair.  Last January, he was invited to compete in Frankenmuth in a state wide baking competition.  Anyone who crossed his path was offered a pie. Giving his baked goods away gave him great joy.  He loved taking and displaying his photos.  His home was full of hundreds of pictures showing his strong love for God, family, and dear friends.  Clete also enjoyed traveling with a highlight being a month-long camping trip to Alaska along the Alaskan Highway.  He had a dream come true in June when he was able to fly to Washington DC on the Honor Flight of N.W. Ohio with the help of his dear friend, Roger Hawkins.  Cletus is survived by his adoring daughter, Kathy Fuhrmann of Adrian, Kris Fuhrmann-Turner of Tecumseh, Chris Jennings of Kennett, MO, and many dear and much loved friends.  In addition to is wife, June, he was preceded in death by beloved son, Scott, on December 20, 2013.  Cremation has taken place.  A memorial mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Tecumseh. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery, Tecumseh.   Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral mass at the church, also on Saturday.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his daughter to cover final expenses or to St. Elizabeth Catholic Church for memorial masses to be said in Cletus' name.  My darling Daddy, you were God-loving, kind, funny, generous, wise, loving and a compassionate man. I was so proud of you. You will always be loved, missed and in my heart.  Condolences may be made online to the family at www.pursefuneralhome.com
