Betty May Winner, age 74, of Britton, MI, passed away April 23, 2016. Betty was born May 13, 1941 in Centerville, Iowa the daughter of Robert and Vera (Flattery) Hoffman. On July 1, 1963 she married Paul Winner, Sr. in Adrian and he preceded her in death September 16, 2011. Betty was a 1960 graduate of Lincoln High School, Des Moines, Iowa and received an Associate Degree from Washtenaw Community College. After high school she served her country in the United States Navy. Betty is survived by her children, Paul, Jr. (Sarah ) Winner of Texas, Douglas Winner of Sylvania, Ohio, Wendell (Diane) Winner of Saline and Rebecca Winner of Tecumseh; grandchildren, Cassandra, Chad, Marisa, Brenden, Joel, Lindsey and Travis; sisters, Patricia, Marilyn and Katie and brother, Wayne. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Dorothy, Donna, Mike and Wendell. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at the J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Pastor Phil Devaney officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgeway Cemetery with military honors performed by the United States Navy Honor guard.
