Betty J. (Hamilton) Bethel

Betty J. (Hamilton) Bethel, age 92, of Tecumseh, passed away January 17, 2018.  Betty was born December 9, 1925 in Hudson, Michigan the daughter of Frank and Etta (Bacon) Adams. She married Paul R. Hamilton and he preceded her in death in 1974.  On September 17, 1977 she married Herman Bethel in Adrian, Michigan and he preceded her in death October 15, 2014.  Betty enjoyed traveling with her husband, Herman and they wintered 28 years in Florida.  During her lifetime, she had various occupations - hairdresser, sales and retail.  She enjoyed attending different camping clubs and square dancing groups.  Betty was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Adrian.  Betty is survived by her sons, Gregg (Kathy Jo) Hamilton and Bradley (Kathleen) Hamilton;  step daughter, Connie (Don) Williams; brothers, Art and Keith Adams; grandchildren, Tara, Tanner (Mandy), Bridgette (Karl), Benjamin, Cody (Ashley),  Karlee, Josie and Jacob; great-grandchildren, Easton, Ellis, Baylee, Kylin, Kolton, Landry and Reece.  In addition to her husbands, Betty was preceded in death by her parents; 10 brothers; a sister and her grandson in law, Matt Howell.  Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 22, 2018 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh with Pastor Dan Sharpe  officiating.  Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
