Beatris Faye Emerson

Beatris  Faye  Emerson, age 86, of Adrian, formerly, of Alabama, passed away, January 21, 2015, at home.  She was born July 3, 1928, the daughter of James & Alice (West) Ingram.  She married Samuel Reid, he preceded her in death on September 20, 1958.  Beatris then married John Emerson, who also preceded her in death.  She is survived by two daughters and their families; Shirley (Duane) Mikolas and Lurley Hunt, nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and five sisters, Hazel Wilkerson, Velma Bohora, Peggy Sue Allgood ( husband Steve), Elma Webb, Lucy Skaggs and Flo Turner.  In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, all her brothers, one sister, two sons; Samuel "Pete" Reid  & Hubert Reid, two granddaughters, Missy Graffis & Kelly Homier and son in law, Ron Hunt.  Services will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Saturday, January 24, 2015, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy, Adrian, MI.  Burial will follow in East Rome Cemetery.  www.PurseFuneralHome.com
