Albert Neally Clelland

Albert Neally Clelland, age 85, of Morenci passed away peacefully at his home on May 19, 2017.  He was born Aug. 22, 1931, to Fred and Carrie Clelland of Riversville, W.Va. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-54 as a mechanic. He attended Fairmont State College and earned his teaching degree in industrial arts and drivers education. He married Betty Carrico on July 19, 1961. From 1962 until 1993 he taught at Morenci Area Schools.  In addition to his wife, Betty, he is survived by two sisters, Vonda Pheasant of West Virginia and Patty (Robert) Fordyce of Indiana; one son, Isaac (Pam) Clelland of West Branch; three daughters, Karen (Paul) McClain of Clayton, Janice (Charles) Donnell of Battle Creek and Julia Lama of Adrian; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  He was a devout Christian who enjoyed reading the Bible and professing his love for the Lord. He was a member of Seneca Community Church.  Cremation has taken place and a family memorial is being planned. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Bixby Hospital, especially the CCU staff, and Hospice for their excellent care, and Purse Funeral Home.
